A popular restaurant brand known for being difficult to book in New York has begun recruiting Sushi Chefs for a new location scheduled to open in Bermuda in 2027.

The restaurant is operated by a globally recognized craft beer company that also develops a Japanese food and sushi restaurant brand.

The brand has gained attention in New York for its highly regarded dining style, which combines craft beer with authentic sushi. As part of its next project, the company is now recruiting opening staff for its new Bermuda location.

Bermuda is approximately a two-hour flight from New York. It is one of the world’s best-known resort islands, famous for its clear emerald-blue waters and beautiful pink-sand beaches.

On days off, employees can enjoy the beach, marine activities, and the relaxed atmosphere of island life.

Compensation

$25–$30 per hour
Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.

Work Schedule

Flexible hours

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve sushi and sashimi
• Process and prepare fish
• Maintain the quality of fish and ingredients
• Prepare nigiri, rolls, and other sushi items
• Manage sushi rice and ingredients
• Maintain sanitation and kitchen operations
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team
• Support preparations for the new restaurant opening

Qualifications

• Two to three years or more of sushi experience preferred
• Fish preparation and knife skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Flexibility in adapting to a new work environment
• Interest in working in Bermuda
