A large Japanese restaurant opening soon in Manhattan, New York, is seeking a Sushi Chef.

This major new restaurant project will be located in one of New York City’s leading business districts. The restaurant is bringing together a team of accomplished chefs and offers a rare opportunity to join as an opening member and help build the operation from the ground up.

Compensation

$60,000–$80,000 per year
Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving sushi and sashimi
• Processing and preparing fish
• Managing the quality of sushi rice and ingredients
• Cooking and preparation duties at the sushi counter and in the kitchen
• Maintaining sanitation standards and supporting restaurant operations
• Participating in opening preparations and team development

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Sushi Chef
• Strong fish preparation and knife skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Interest in launching and developing a new restaurant
• Desire to build a long-term career in New York
