A Michelin-starred omakase-style sushi restaurant in the Miami area is hiring a dedicated and experienced Sous Sushi Chef to support the Head Sushi Chef and the daily operations of a highly respected sushi counter.
This restaurant offers an intimate, premium dining experience—serving high-quality seasonal ingredients and fish flown directly from Japan. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to support both execution and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sushi counter preparation and service
- Support rice preparation, fish cutting, seasoning, and mise en place
- Work closely with the Head Chef to uphold culinary precision and quality
- Manage inventory, food safety, and cleanliness standards
- Guide and support junior kitchen staff
- Participate in seasonal menu development and improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a sushi chef (omakase or high-end preferred)
- Strong foundational skills in fish preparation, rice handling, and knife work
- Familiarity with premium ingredients and traditional techniques
- Ability to work as part of a small, focused kitchen team
- Basic English communication skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or eligible for visa sponsorship
