A Michelin-starred sushi chef is launching an exciting new restaurant concept in Miami.
The next challenge is a high-quality yet casual dining experience inspired by Japanese izakaya culture.
This project is not intended to stop at a single location — it represents the first step of a larger brand vision, with plans for future multi-location expansion, including potential franchising.
We are seeking a Head Chef to join from the early stages and lead the kitchen through the opening and beyond.

Compensation
$75,000 per year (Negotiable based on experience and track record)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and prepare dishes suitable for an izakaya-style concept
- Manage purchasing, food costs, and kitchen operations
- Build kitchen workflows and operational systems
- Recruit, train, and lead kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality control
- Oversee all phases from pre-opening preparation to post-opening operations
- Support documentation and system-building for future brand and multi-unit expansion
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional cooking experience
- Experience in Japanese cuisine or izakaya-style restaurants is a plus (not mandatory)
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager preferred
- Hands-on leader who works closely with the team on the floor
- Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational organization
- Basic English communication skills required
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
