A newly opened modern kaiseki restaurant located in a prestigious Manhattan venue is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager. The concept blends refined Japanese seasonal cuisine with an immersive guest experience, aiming to elevate traditional hospitality through storytelling and artistry.
This is a leadership role suited for a professional who can balance operational efficiency with brand storytelling and team-building.

Restaurant General Manager (Full-Time)

Salary
$115,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, profitability, and service quality
- Elevate the guest experience through seamless front-of-house management
- Hire, train, and lead a diverse FOH/BOH team
- Foster a hospitality culture aligned with Japanese culinary traditions
- Report to ownership and communicate cross-functionally with other departments
Requirements
- Proven management experience in upscale or fine dining environments
- Deep understanding or passion for Japanese cuisine and kaiseki principles
- Strong communication and leadership skills in English
- Experience working with multicultural teams
- Prior experience managing in a union environment is a plus
