We are hiring a General Manager for a new high-end Japanese-influenced restaurant opening in January 2026 in Manhattan, NYC.
This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership role from the pre-opening phase alongside a Michelin-starred chef and launch one of the most anticipated restaurants of the year.
Salary
$80,000/year (commensurate with experience and skills)
Start Date
January 2026 (with training and onboarding during pre-opening)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant
- Lead hiring, training, and supervision of FOH staff
- Maintain high standards of service and guest experience
- Manage scheduling, cost control, and revenue tracking
Work closely with the Head Chef and ownership team
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a fine dining setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of Japanese or fusion cuisine is a plus
- Comfortable with fast-paced, detail-oriented environments
- Passionate about hospitality and team development
