In Fall 2025, an internationally acclaimed fine-dining restaurant group will open a new location in Los Angeles.
With Japanese cuisine at its core, the concept blends elements from Peru and Brazil to deliver an innovative dining experience, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and stylish design.
For this exciting opening, we are seeking a Head Sushi Chef to lead and oversee the sushi program.

Position

Head Sushi Chef (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily sushi production and maintain quality across all offerings
  • Develop seasonal sushi menus in collaboration with executive chefs
  • Manage purchasing and inventory of fish and sushi ingredients
  • Train, supervise, and mentor the sushi team
  • Oversee sushi bar operations and coordinate with front-of-house team
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as Head Sushi Chef or similar senior role
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • High-level knife skills and commitment to precision and presentation
  • Experience managing kitchen staff and maintaining consistency
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Visa support not available)
  • California food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
