We are hiring a Japanese cuisine chef (excluding sushi) at a long-established, upscale sushi and Japanese restaurant located on South Pearl Street in Denver, Colorado.
Our restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, including Edomae-style sushi made with fresh fish flown in daily from Japan, as well as modern and creative Japanese cuisine.
This position is specifically for a chef to handle non-sushi sections of the kitchen, such as the hot line and other cooking stations.
Position: Line Cook (Non-Sushi)
- Salary: $80,000/year (gross)
- Working Hours: Approx. 50 hours/week
- Days Off: 2 days per week

Responsibilities
- Cooking hot dishes, appetizers, and non-sushi items
- Prep work, inventory support, and food safety practices
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications
- Experience working in kitchens (Japanese/Asian restaurants preferred)
- Strong knife skills and ability to work under pressure
- Team-oriented with flexibility
