We are seeking a Sushi Sous Chef to join our high-end Japanese restaurant in Philadelphia. The role focuses on sushi preparation and presentation, quality control, training and mentoring kitchen staff, and supporting overall kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant
- Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine and traditional sushi techniques
- Culinary management experience in a sushi kitchen
- Experience in kitchen management and sous chef responsibilities
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Current ANAB-accredited Food Safety Certificate required
- English fluency required
Salary
Annual salary: $70,000 – $85,000
