Responsibilities
- Sushi counter service and guest interaction
- Fish preparation, neta management, and shari management
- Preparation of nigiri, rolls, sashimi, and course items
- Quality control for the sushi department
- Ingredient ordering and inventory management
- Training and management of sushi team members
- Maintaining hygiene and daily kitchen standards
- Improving daily operations when needed
- Maintaining the restaurant’s overall quality and brand standards
Requirements
- Professional experience as a sushi chef
- Experience as a head chef, sous chef, or sushi counter lead preferred
- Strong skills in fish preparation, nigiri, sashimi, and rolls
- Ability to maintain consistent quality during service
- Ability to lead and work closely with a team
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
