A Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant in Brooklyn is seeking a Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. Our seasonal tasting menu emphasizes balance, creativity, and precision across all courses—including desserts. $20–$25 per hour (based on experience and skills)
Tips where applicable

Schedule

  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • Closed on restaurant holidays and designated off-days

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute high-quality plated desserts and baked items for tasting menus
  • Develop seasonal dessert concepts that align with the restaurant’s culinary philosophy
  • Oversee mise en place, ordering, and inventory management for the pastry section
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure a cohesive guest experience
  • Uphold excellence and consistency consistent with Michelin-starred standards

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a pastry chef or cook in a fine dining or Michelin-starred setting
  • Strong foundational skills in pastry and dessert techniques
  • Ability to stay focused and organized under pressure
  • Passion for craftsmanship, seasonality, and continuous improvement
  • Team-oriented, respectful, and committed to high standards
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Pastry school education or international experience is a plus (not required if experience meets standards)
