A new sushi restaurant opening in New York in 2026 is seeking a passionate Sake Sommelier to share the appeal of Japanese cuisine and sake with the world.
More important than knowledge is your passion for sake and your willingness to learn.

Position

• Sake Sommelier (Full-time Employee)

Main Responsibilities

• Propose pairings of sushi with sake, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Select and manage drink menus
• Create unique guest experiences through counter service and conversation
• Oversee operations including inventory management and ordering

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality or beverage service, preferably in fine dining
• Strong interest in sake and commitment to continuous learning
• Basic English communication skills for customer service
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship available)

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary: approx. $70,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
