A high-end Japanese restaurant in Miami is seeking a talented Sous Sushi Chef to support the sushi operations in a busy, upscale environment. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in sushi preparation—including rolls, nigiri, and sashimi—and a strong interest in further refining their craft in a fast-paced setting.

Position Details

Sous Sushi Chef｜Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily sushi preparation including maki rolls, nigiri, and sashimi
• Maintain consistent quality and presentation
• Support executive chef with inventory and station management
• Train and guide junior staff
• Work efficiently during high-volume service hours
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a sushi chef or cook
• Familiarity with traditional Japanese techniques and modern sushi styles
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Basic English communication skills required
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
