A new high-end Japanese restaurant is set to open inside a hotel near Bryant Park in Manhattan. Focused on refined sushi and kappo-style cuisine, the restaurant will offer both indoor and outdoor seating and aims to deliver a premium hospitality experience to domestic and international guests alike.
This role involves full oversight of restaurant operations and requires a deep understanding of Japanese hospitality. The ideal candidate will lead service and kitchen teams, oversee training and scheduling, and manage cost controls while maintaining the highest service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations
- Manage inventory and purchasing
- Schedule, train, and supervise staff
- Monitor sales and operational performance
- Coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house teams

Salary
$110,000–$120,000/year (based on experience and skills)
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant management
- Understanding of Japanese cuisine or hospitality is preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Proficiency in English; Japanese language skills are a plus
